This has been a pretty productive week full of scrapping.  I love it!!  The designers I play for have outdone themselves with the wonderful kits they've designed.  First off, I made two layout with a kit from Kathy Winters called Funky Valentine.  For one of them I used a template from PhotoCowGirl!  I think I rearranged a template from biographitti for the other one.  You can find both Kathy Winters and Photocowgirl at Gingerscraps.  Here are those two layouts!

Next is a layout I did with a fun kit from Modern June called February Capture 365.  She's doing a new part of this huge kit every month throughout the year, especially for the people involved in doing the project 365.  It is probably a daunting task!!  But Kathy is up to it--she's fabulous!!  You can find Modern June exclusively at Scrapable.co.  I also used a template from Colies Corner.  I love templates!  These are older photos of Abby, but she's still a sweetie!!

Jen C Designs released a cute kit this week too!  It is called I love you Just a Little!  The bundle even comes with the great templates--and you all know how much I love templates!!  This layout is about Abby too.  I guess I must be missing her this week!!  You can find Jen's things at Funkyplayground and at Digiscrapsdrivein! 

The next two layouts were done with a kit from Ruby Lane called In My heart that is available at Funkyplayground!  The first one is my granddaughter Hope and the other one is my daughter Becky and her baby Sarah.  Sarah is four years old now!!  My, how time flies!

 Polka Dot Pixels released a perfect kit for BOYS this week!  It was called About a boy, and fit my little guys to a "T" so I made a few layouts of their photos!  You can find Polka Dot Pixels exclusively at 2 peas!  I love this kit!!   Look how cute my boys are!!  (They are two of my grandsons!)  They can be found exclusively in Tennessee! 

I did a couple more layouts of Noah--the first one is from a kit called Find Joy from Dianne Rigdon exclusively at 2 peas. 

The other one is from Sugar Pie Scraps called My sugar Pie!  Noah was a little younger here!  He is such a little doll!

 This one is all three boys, and I used the new kit from Caged Bird Designs called Anchor Me Down for this one!  I love the colors in this kit!  I also used a great template from Jen Maddocks Designs and it is featured in the Mystery Challenge at Scrapable.com this month!  Come on over and play!

 The next one was fun!  The photos were taken on my Birthday this year.  My son's family came over to help celebrate with me, and it was so fun to see my son and his kids interact with each other.  In this layout, Adam is the horsie for Hope, but Andrew was trying to get on too.  Chuck was trying to keep the kids from falling off Adam's back!  After Adam collapsed, both the little ones got on Chuck's back for awhile too.  I used a great kit called My Everyday by Le Pingouin Designs, and it can be found at DigitalScrapCafe.com

A post by Stef at DST challenged us to make a layout without any photos this week, so I made one about my memories from Valentines day when I was a child.  I used the Vintage Valentine kit from Digital Scrap Cafe for the kit, and had a great time remembering past Valentines days.   I love how it turned out, and proved to myself that the memories speak louder than photos sometimes.  Here is my layout!

Polka Dot Pixels released a great new kit this week called About a Boy.  Well, since I DO have little boys in my life, this kit was a dream to use!  I loved all the cute elements and the great boy colors!  I did these two layouts with that kit!  Don't I have the cutest little grandsons?

 

The picture of Jonah was taken a couple of years ago, but he still enjoys helping his father with any chore!!  He's FIVE now ya know!!  :)  Speaking of him being five, I did a layout of that this week too!  I love how it turned out.  That photo really captured Jonah to a T!  He's such a vibrant little guy!! 

Because he turned five this week, I was looking back at some of his baby photos, and had to make a layout of when he was a baby--just to see how much he is growing up!  He was a beautiful baby, but he's growing up to be a fine little man now!!  Here is his baby photo layout.

 There are a few new releases today that I wanted to bring to your attention!  First, Wyld Web Designs released a new kit called Tiny Dancer!  I made a layout of Molly and her cute little "before meal" dance that she does!  Although I'm sure this type of a layout isn't what Char (Wyld Web Designs) had in mind for her cute new kit, having a fur baby that dances comes in handy sometime!!

I made this sweet kit about Molly with the kit.  I told the story of how Molly came to be our special friend!  Dogs can be such great companions, but they deserve a home to call their own, and a family to love and care for them.  If you can be a forever and ever home for a fur friend, don't forget that your local pound has many lovely dogs up for adoption!  The fee is usually minimal, and they come with all their shots up to date. They will be spayed or neutered, and ours even came with a microchip just in case they get lost!  The love and companionship you get from a fur friend is well worth the initial investment!

Hello Blog!  Surprise!  I have another post.  I'm reliving fun snow storms from the past.  The one I scrapped today was in December 2008.  Chuck and Gina had left the valley to meet with Andrew's birth mother while the baby was born!  They got stuck out of town because ANY snowfall closes our roads.  Thankfully, I was able to spend the time with Hannah, Adam, and Hope!  Hannah took good care of us, and Adam made sure the wood fire was keeping us warm, and Hope had fun in the snow!  We all had a good time together.

I made the layout with the January Collab from Digital Scrap Cafe.  I wasn't expecting so much fun when I unzipped the kit though!  The preview didn't show as much as what was in the kit at all.  I was SO pleasantly surprised.  It's a beautiful kit!  Here is the layout I did.  I also used a freebie blog template from Irene.

I guess it would be good to post my project 52 layouts here too.  I may not make it through the year with "my goings on" which will seem pretty boring to many I'm sure!!  (probably to me too!)  We live a pretty laid back life!!  Being retired is great! 

Anyhow I'm doing my Project 52 a bit different than most people.  I'm only going to take ONE day a week and do a layout of the most stand out thing that happened that whole week-It may be one photo, it may be more!  that is IF I happen to remember to take photos at all!! 

I DID do layouts of the first two weeks already, so two down, and 50 to go!!  Yeah!  I'm on a roll!!
My first week layout is of our surprise snowfall!  It was fun, but it didn't last long!  And my 2nd week layout was about Hannah coming over for a day and playing in my scrapbook with me (and her friend Hannah).  It was good to share my oodles of supplies, and fun to see their creations!  Here are my layouts!

I've been working really hard to stay ahead of the great designers I CT for!  Their kits are so much fun, and so beautiful I hate to miss even ONE of them!!  Thank you--ALL of you!  I love you all!!

Hi!  We started the year out with a "significant snow storm" here in the desert!  It was fun!  Significant means more than a dusting--we actually received about 4 inches.  The good part of living in the desert, though, is the snow is gone in 24 hours!  I can love the snow for 24 hours and then the sun is back out, and the temperatures return to "normal" for us--in the 60's.  Beautiful!!  I took some fun photos, though, while it was here!

Like all of her kits, this is another really cute one!  I love working with them.  I told you in the last post that we spent Christmas in San Diego with my daughter's family.  Well, these photos are from that trip.  We always have a good time when we visit Debbie and the family.

Here I am finally!  I have a lot to catch up on--and a lot of posting to do!!  Now that the holidays are over, I may have more time to post--maybe!!  The holidays are always such a busy time for everybody.  We spent Christmas week in San Diego with one of my daughters.  We always have such a good time when we visit family.  Before that, we spent some time in Colorado with another daughter!!  Being retired, I'm thankful we have time to do some visiting. 

This brings me to the layout I want to share today.  We have 14 grandchildren!  And each and every one of them is so special.  I could have used photos of any of them in the layout I'm going to share, and the journaling could have stayed the same.  All the grandchildren are precious!

I'll start my post with a layout of my Colorado grandchildren!  This is Abby, Sarah, and Micah.  I made it with a kit called Woodland Winter by Dream Big Designs.  The journaling says The most wonderful time of the year is when we can spend time together.  It’s so much fun to see your sweet smiling faces and feel the warm hugs you give us! We love you all so much!

I had lunch today with my church ladies.  They all have prayer concerns for family and loved ones!  The world is full of hurt and pain, and we praise the Lord for the strength He gives to each of us to handle the things He feels we are strong enough to handle.  These ladies are so special--every single one of them.  I love them so!  I pray for their hurts, their disappointments, and for their health.

This time of the year is SO busy for everybody!!  I just checked on a package I ordered on Cyber Monday and it's ON THE TRUCK for delivery today--woot!!  Somebody on my list might be happy about that!  It's been hard collecting all the gifts in one place.  One gift I ordered was delivered to new neighbors 3 doors away--another was found on the front porch at least a day after it was delivered, another one got lost for about a week in Phoenix "on the way" here, but was finally delivered yesterday!   I ordered some and had them delivered to where they are supposed to go--and a few of them are still not delivered.  I think it's funny how when you order from Amazon, and get free shipping--and then everything is sent separately!  You'd think since they are paying for shipping that they would combine some of them!

Well, enough of that!  On to things that are more fun--like sharing some scrapbook pages!  I do have lots to share, but again, not much time, so will probably only have time for a few!  I love this new kit by Dream Big Designs called My Kinda Christmas!  I've done several layouts with it already, but can't share them all here right now.  The one I can share, I love!  It's actually a lift from a lady emi at one of the forums I'm associated with! 

Isn't that just the saddest little face you ever did see?  Poor Jacob.  Most of the time he is such a sweet natured little guy!  I guess his mommy must have been where he couldn't see her!!  He DOES like her to be around.  I'm sure Santa won't take this momentary lapse of "goodness" to influence him at all!!  I'm positive Santa has him on the "good" list this year!!  Such a special little guy.

I used ScrapElfs new kit called Jolly Christmas for this layout!  I love Sarah's expression here.  She was showing us a beautiful rock she found in the yard!  And look how cute Abby and Micah are also.  Such sweeties!!  They are looking forward to Christmas I'm sure!!  Another layout I made with this kit is here:

These photos were taken at our house in 2008--just about this time of the month.  Chuck and Gina were out of town to make arrangements to adopt Andrew, and I was taking care of the other kids at Chuck's house.  Grandpa couldn't come and be with us because he was expecting some presents to be delivered!  So he stayed home with Molly, and had fun in the snow without me!  And I had fun in the snow with the kids:

For these layouts, I used a kit from Marshmella Designs called Holly Jolly.  It has a LOT of elements--my kinda kit!!  Isn't that snowman the cutest??  Another fun kit is the December Collab kit at Godigitalscrapbooking.com.  It's called White Christmas, and again, has oodles of great elements!!

And another couple of kits I played with this week were a template set from PhotoCowGirl called Like em Big 2, and a wonderful Christmas kit and word art from Kathy Winters called Christmas Jingle, and Dear Santa word art kit!  I made this layout with that combination!  Sarah was such a beautiful little one!!

I had such a nice surprise yesterday.  I have a friend that deserted California many years ago, but was in my city briefly for a family affair, and she called me out of the blue!  She asked if I'd be home for awhile, and I of course said YES, definitely!  She came over and we had such a great visit.  It was like we've seen each other every day for the past 15 years!!  We picked up where we left off, and I remember why I love her so much. 

I've been busy working on fall and winter layouts lately.  They are always so much fun.  I have enough photos to last me a lifetime, but sometimes I use photos over again--and sometimes even AGAIN!  I have my favorites I guess.  My children are such great photographers that I hate to just use the photos once.  So it's THEIR fault!!

The first couple of layouts I have to share were made with new kits from Modern June (You can find them at Scrapable.co).  One kit is called Seaside Santa, and the other is called Hung with Care.  Both are really fun kits to use.  I used a Ramona the Pest template for the second layout, and an unknown template for the first one.

Another layout I have to share today was made with a kit called White Christmas which is the December collab kit available at GoDigitalScrapbooking.com.  (The fun part of this kit is, it's FREE with a 10.00 purchase!)  I love this series of photos that Becky took in 2007.  The kids were so much fun that day.  What a fun memory.  Besides the White Christmas kit, I also used a freebie Challenge template for this layout.

And the last layout I have for today, I made with the October Collab available at DigitalScrapCafe.com.  It is called Falling for You!  I also used a Tiffany Tillman template with this layout.

 I have several layouts to share today!  The pictures for the 2009 layout were taken at Amy and Scott's condo in Santa Clarita.  I love the photo of Noah looking in the fireplace waiting for Santa!  Isn't he so cute?
I used Jen C. Designs new kit It's Christmas Time that you can find at FunkyPlaygrounddesigns this month, as she is guesting there in December!!  The other layout I did with this kit is coming up--it is with Sarah sitting in the Christmas box!  Why do kids like boxes so much anyhow??  I used templates from Ramona the Pest for both the layouts.

 The photos for Another Christmas Story were taken in Denver a few years ago.  Look how small Micah is!  He's going to be seven very soon.  I can't believe how cute he is.  He was bundled up so tightly that he couldn't bend his arms--which is why I named it Another Christmas Story!  It so reminds me of that Christmas Movie!
I used the fun kit from Ruby Lane called Merry and Bright that is also found at FunkyPlaygroundDesigns!  I also used a template from Trixie Scraps for this layout.




There Amy is reading a note from Santa by the Christmas Tree.  Unfortunately, while she was reading the note, Molly almost ate the cookies on the plate!  If you can't trust your dog, who CAN you trust??
For this layout, I used a completely free kit from Simply Scrappy that can be found at twopeasinabucket!  It is called Jingle Jangle!  I also used a freebie blog template.

 Look at that little pouty face!!  Sarah could really pour it on couldn't she??  Every time I see this I think of the Christmas song lyrics "Better not Pout."  She didn't seem to know why at this age though!  :)  I used a new kit by Mandy King called Glad Tidings that is found at ScrappityDooDah, as Mandy is exclusive there!

This is the other layout I did with Jen C. Designs!  I love it when the kids like the boxes things come in!!  Just goes to show you that a lot of expensive toys and things aren't really needed!  Kids find joy in the simplest things. 

This is another layout that I used Ruby Lane's Merry and Bright kit.  I love the great colors and the nicely designed elements in the kit.  The little snowman is so much fun, and her snowflakes are really nice!!  I could scrap these photos of Abby again and again as I love them so much!!  She is such a sweetie!! 

The last layout I have to share today is one about our Christmas tree!
We love assembling our tree, but it's our special ornaments we've used over the years, and the special things we put under our tree that makes it almost magical in our living room. 

I always get the itch to put the tree up before Earl does.  I'd like it up before Thanksgiving, but he likes to wait until the day after Thanksgiving.  I give him grief about that every year, but he always wins.  I'd think it would be him that would want to get it up and cleaned up in here since he then gets to "play" with all of the trains he sets up under the tree. 

 I used a kit called Christmas in Blue that you can find at Digital Scrap Cafe!  I also used a template by Tiffany Tillman!  Have I told you lately how much I love templates?
