Memorial Day Weekend starts today!  I hope you all have a safe and wonderful time.  Don't forget the reason for the "Memorial" part!  We truly have been blessed by the sacrifice of others.  I remember when I was a child, I'd take trips to the Port Huron area of Michigan with my grandmother and Aunt Marie.  We'd go and decorate a bunch of graves of people I never knew, but knew those people had served our country with honor and valor.  We put little American Flags and flowers on those graves.  My aunt and grandmother shared wonderful stories of those relatives that served so willingly.  I just wish now that I could remember all those wonderful stories.
God Bless our servicemen and women.

Forty five years ago today I started a new adventure in my life.  It was one of the most rewarding and challenging adventures God gave to me!  Today is my son's birthday.  He turns 45 years old.  He's such a sweet man, and I'm so proud of him.  He's a wonderful husband and father.  We'll be celebrating with him later today.  He shares a birthday week with his oldest son Adam who turned 14 earlier this week!  Adam is also someone to be proud of.  He's a sweet and loving boy--a real treasure.  Happy Birthday Boys!!  And Thank you God for this adventure into motherhood, and now into grandmother-hood!  I'm loving the journey.

I have a couple of layouts to share today.  The first is from a combination of kits by Kerry Stewart called Candy Apple, bunny tales, and I also used her Curvalicious Clipping masks.  Love those things!!  :)   The second is from a revamped kit called The Earth Laughs in Flowers.  I loved the original kit, but the revamped kit is just wonderful!!  This kit is from Graham Like the Cracker.  She also has some exciting new things happening!  She has been guesting at ScrapMatters for the month of May, and has been asked to stay on permanently!  and she's adding another store too!  She's opening at Gotta Pixel on June 5th!  She's really excited about both of these things, and I'm excited for her.  Her designs are so nice!  Be sure to check them out at both stores.

Anyhow, here are my layouts!  The Blessings of a baby is from the Kerry Stewart collection!  This is Hopie when she was a tiny baby.  Now she'll be 5 in September, and insists she's BIG--She's such a kick!!  :)
Then the Happy boy is from the Kit by Graham Like the Cracker.  This is Jonah--before he turned the big 4 he is now!!  :)  He's such a beautiful boy!

I love these photos of him.  The sun flair behind his head makes him look like an angel--haha!!  He's a sweet boy, but maybe not an angel!!  He IS a very friendly boy.  He loves to talk to strangers.  He'll tell them his life story, and that of all of his family while you are just walking by!!  :)

I have just ONE layout to share today.  It's for a NEW CT I've been asked to be on!  It is for Kerry Stewart who has her store here:  http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/shop/digital-kits/kerry-stewart/
I've "known" Kerry from the 2 peas message board for quite some time now.  I'm very happy to be on her team!  Two Peas was the first scrapping message board I ever joined back in 2002!  I've made a lot of friends there, and several of them are on this new CT!  Many of them were the same friends that were such an encouragement to me when I started digi!  It should be a lot of fun!!!   I just hope I can do her kits justice.  Her latest kit, called Candy Apple, was released today.  I also used her set of clipping masks which are so much fun to use!  Thanks Kerry for this opportunity!!
My layout has photos of Dan and Ashlyn when they went to Sea World,  They sat in the Splash Zone!  :)

I had a great day scrapping yesterday.  I loaded up PSE with one kit and made 5 different layouts!!   Really made it easy.  There was so much to choose from, but of course, I used my favorite embellishments more than once!!  :)  The kit was from a Birthday Collab from Digiscrapbookmania!  I paired the cute kit up with some cute photos of some of the granddaughters, and here is what I came up with!

Aren't those fun??  I used a template for two of them--party time 2004, and the last one entitled Abby.  I love to use templates!!  Really cuts down on the time to produce a layout.

Today is Sunday--have a great day, and don't forget to honor our Savior!

My designers have been really busy this month!  I've been scrapping a lot, but not having time to get all the layouts here on the old blog!  I'll be trying to get caught up here before the end of the month so I can start out June on a clean foot!  :)

Graham like the Cracker has been really busy this month!  She stated out the month by releasing a kit called When the Wind Blows, which was just darling!  I made two layouts of Abby with that kit!  Pumpkin Gutz and Abby turns three!!  I somehow didn't get those layouts to the old blog!!

Then Jen of  Graham Like the Cracker teamed up with Connie Prince and produced another darling kit called Mischief Monsters!  It is such a cute kit--full of fun embellishments!!  So many, in fact, it was difficult to pick which  ones to use!!  :)  I came up with another two layouts using that sweet kit--this time I used the boys!  (I posted the layouts in Friday, May 14th post.)
Did I tell you that Connie Prince is one of the designers I love too, so I was REALLY happy to learn this month, that she's joined the Creative Team at Graham Like the Cracker too!  She has stores at Elemental Scraps, Gotta Pixel, Scrapmatters, and Scrappity-Doo-Dah!  Graham Like the Cracker is at Gingerscraps.net, and currently guesting at Scrapmatters.com.

Besides the two kits mentioned above, Graham Like the Cracker then teamed up with Stolen Moments and designed still another kit this month!  It is called Carry My Heart.  I posted the layouts yesterday!  I'm so impressed with Jen!  She has been coming up with such great kits!!  It's so much fun to scrap when you have great kits to play with!  I love this designer!  She is such a blast to CT for!

I love "new release day" from the designers I CT for!  That is the day I get to post layouts I've been working on!  It's so hard not posting them right away!  Today, two of the teams I ct for released a kit!

Graham Like the Cracker teamed up with Stolen Moments and did a great collab called Carry My Heart.  She made it to coordinate with her wedding photos, and it is very elegant!  Those of you who know me know I'm not the elegant kind, so I did a different kind of layout to show the kit's versatility!
You can find this fabulous kit at ScrapMatters.com
I did the layout called Like a Bird.  I've scrapped these photos before, but they just tickle the daylights out of me.  Jonah is such a funny little bird!!  :)  and the other layout is Anniversary!  It is from Amy and Scott's Anniversary in 2007.  They went to the beach for an over-nighter--and Grandpa and I stayed with the boys!

The other designer is Marshmella Designs.  Her release is at GoDigitalscrapbooking.com.  The kit is called Just for Kicks, and it's a soccer kit!  My layouts, however don't have anything to do with soccer!!  :)  I just liked the colors and thought I'd do something besides soccer!

We've been taking care of Jonah and Noah this week.  They are such nice boys--and we are going to miss them so much when they move to another state in just a few weeks.  Thanks Amy and Scott for letting us have them this week.  They are a blessing in our lives!

I have three layouts to share tonight!  They are all made with the same kit from ScrapManiac.  It is called Chill Out.  It was the perfect kit for some of the photos of the San Diego family when they went to the mountains in April after a late spring snowfall.  One of the layouts is called Late Spring Snow, one is called Snow Much Fun, and the third is called Gotcha!

Wow, I have a couple of layouts to share with you today!!  I've been so busy with making layouts, I've neglected my blog!  I'm going to share layouts from a kit by Graham Like the Cracker (don't ya just love that name??)  Jen makes some awesome kits, and I'm so happy to be on her CT!  This week she teamed up with another one of my favorite designers Connie Prince!  Although I'm not on HER Ct, she's now on Jen's CT, so we'll be rubbing elbows once in awhile!!  :)  They came up with such a cute kit and bundle called Mischief Monsters!  It is adorable!  I'm taking care of Noah and Jonah this week, and I've taken some photos that really fit this cute kit.  I'll share those today!  :)
Isn't this kit just adorable??  You can find the kit here:  http://scrapmatters.com/shop/product.php?productid=4780&cat=0&page=1

I'm having a nice Mother's Day, how about you?

One of the hardest parts about being on a Creative team is getting the kit before it is released,  working on the layouts, and then having to WAIT until the kit is released to post the layouts you've done!  It was particularly hard with this kit because I loved the layouts so much!

I have three layouts to share today.  I made them with a new kit from Jen C Designs called Strawberry Delight--that just released TODAY.  And a it WAS a Delight to work with!!  I love the colors, the springy feel, and the alphabet is just too cute!!  I've scrapped ALL of these photos before, but they just had to be scrapped again with this cute kit!  I hope you enjoy them.  Jen C Designs can be found at several stores, but I found her at DigiScrapbookMania.com, and the direct link to the kit is here:  Jen C's Store.
One layout is of Abby on her birthday a few years ago--don't remind me how long ago it was--she's growing up way too fast!!  This grandma doesn't like them to grow up so fast!!!
Another layout is Amy and Jacob in front of the house with the Banks roses blooming in the background.  Jacob was 6 months old here.

and the other layout is of Abby again, and she was just so cute with her sweet little face!  :)

Have a great day!!
